Stars & Stripes, Human Rights: Why We Made This Shirt
Share
There's a version of patriotism that gets talked about a lot — flags on porches, fireworks in July, hands over hearts. And then there's the kind that's quieter, harder, and more honest: the belief that loving your country means holding it accountable.
That's the idea behind our Stars & Stripes Human Rights Tee.
The Design
The graphic is simple by design. An American-flag-inspired block of type — structured, bold, unmistakable — that reads like a values list. No slogans. No party lines. Just a visual statement that patriotism and human rights aren't opposites. They never were.
We wanted something you could wear to a Fourth of July cookout and a community rally. Something that doesn't ask you to choose between loving your country and demanding better from it.
Who It's For
This shirt is for the neighbor who flies the flag and still shows up when things get hard. The person who believes the best version of America is still being written — and that they have a role in writing it. The activist, the organizer, the quiet believer, the loud one.
It's for anyone who's tired of patriotism being used as a reason to stop asking questions — and wants to wear something that says the opposite.
Why It's Built to Last
We didn't want this to be a throwaway statement piece. The tee is made from 100% ring-spun US cotton, garment-dyed for that worn-in texture that only gets better over time. At 6.1 oz, it's substantial without being stiff — the kind of shirt you reach for on a slow Sunday morning or a long day on your feet.
Double-needle stitched hems. No side seams. Pre-shrunk. Sizes S through 4XL in 8 colorways.
Because standing up for what's right should be comfortable.
A Note on the Name
We called it the Stars & Stripes Human Rights Tee on purpose. Not to be provocative — but because we think those two things belong in the same sentence. The stars and stripes have always represented an idea more than a reality. This shirt is for the people still working toward that idea.
Available now at GodaStudio. Sizes S–4XL. 8 colorways.
